Maryse vs. Brie Bella
Maryse and Brie Bella went one on one in the opening round of the tournament for the vacant Divas Title. Brie had the upper hand in the beginning of the match. The two divas went to the outside and Nikki who was at ringside got involved slamming Maryse’s head into the announce table. The Twins tried to pull the switch and switched places with Nikki getting into the ring but Maryse was to smart for them and saw what happened and ended up hitting her French Kiss ddt on Nikki pinning her and advancing to the next round of the tournament

Winner: Maryse

After the match was over as Maryse was making her way backstage, The Miz’s music hit and he came out and cut a promo on Maryse stating that if she won the title that maybe he would eventually return her phone calls to which Maryse just stared and laughed at him.

The new year has started off on a sour note for Divas Champion Melina.

After suffering an injury in a match on Dec. 29 in Manchester, N.H., Melina underwent an MRI today, which confirmed that she tore her left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Due to this, she will be out of action for six months and have to forfeit her Divas Championship.

This unfortunate setback brings an end to Melina’s successful reign as champion, a title she has held since she debuted on Raw on Oct. 10 as a part of the Tri-Brand Diva Trade.

With the Divas Championship now vacant, an Eight-Diva Tournament to crown a new champion will begin on Raw tonight. Maryse will face Brie Bella in the first match of the tournament.

In WWE creative, the reaction is that they are not worried about Impact (nor should they be), but are very interested in what happens. They are absolutely baffled that the only two matches where the participants have been advertised ahead of time are women’s matches. There were jokes told in the last few days of putting Maryse out ever time the women are on the show just to prove 1 Diva could beat all of their women combined.

This would be amazing for Maryse as she would get lots of TV time. Also, rumours are arising that current Divas Champion Melina has possibly torn her ACL, nothing has been confirmed yet as stated on our sister site Melina Unlimited but if it is a torn ACL, there is a high chance that Maryse could be winning the title very soon as Melina may have to forfeit it. We shall keep you updated when more news is heard.

Maryse is today’s daily diva and it is a shot from her New Year’s Divas photoshoot. This is her 58th time as daily diva.

Tommorow it’s 2010, the new year. So to join with that we have a new layout! Due to alot of difficulty and drama with the previous layout we had designed for us, we designed and put up this layout which will hopefully be up for longer. I designed this myself and feel pretty proud of it. I hope you all like it!

Also, guess who’s birthday’s soon? Indeed our girl is turning 27 and she deserves a big celebration. Unfortunatly, not all of us can see her on her birthday so we are going to do something special for her here at Oh! Maryse like we did last year. Got any idea’s you want to put forward for what we could do to wish Maryse a happy birthday? It could be anything! All idea’s are welcome.
